SAP-16E
SAP-16E is an optical transmission equipment of STM-1 level of the synchronous digital hierarchy (SDH), whose technical performance is fully compliant with ITU-T and specifications of Chinese SDH. SAP-16E has two STM-1 (155.52Mb / s) optical interfaces A and B, with the ITU-T G.813 standard network elements timing function and TU -12 full cross-connect and channel protection functions. SAP-16E also has a 15-channel E1, 4-channel Ethernet and 2-channel V35 data interface. SAP-16E can be used as add-drop multiplexer (ADM) to be ring or chain mesh network nodes, which may provide 14/15-channel E1 and 4-channel Ethernet. SAP-16E can also be used as the terminal multiplexer, with 15-channel E1 and 4-channel Ethernet reusable.
SAP-16E also provides voice, narrowband (low speed) data and broadband (high speed) data services access, access to up to 30 channels at 64kb/s. The type and quantity of service interfaces are flexibly configured.
Users manage the device through GHview network management system, including network management, configuration management, alarm management, performance management, security management, etc.
SAP-16E’s structure is 2U high, 19 inches wide. SAP-16E has advantages like high integration, low power consumption and high reliability.

Typical Application
SAP-16E device can transmit E1, Ethernet, V35 and a variety of voice data services. Speech path interface connects directly with the automatic telephone, program-controlled switches, magnetic phone, carrier and Modem. Data interface connects directly with the PC, power remote equipment, radar and routers. The application as shown:
Chain mesh
In the chain mesh, Ethernet may be applied to point to point (that is port to port) and can also forms two local area networks of shared bandwidth. Ethernet transmission bandwidth in the two applications is settable NXTU12 with N ≤ 63. Other services (E1, V35, and speech path data) only have point to point application (that is port to port).
Ring network
In the ring network applications, Ethernet can be applied to point to point (that is port to port) and can also forms two local area networks of shared bandwidth. Two applications for the NXTU12 Ethernet bandwidth can be set, where N ≤ 63. Ethernet transmission bandwidth in the two applications is settable NXTU12 with N ≤ 63. Other services (E1 & V35) only have point to point application (that is port to port).
