Modular Fiber Optical Multiplexer
FOM-480
A fully new designing concept to challenge existed high capacity PDH, especially on Ethernet link over fiber, the powerful FPGA coding realized a full 100M Fast Ethernet link and 16 E1 channels into an optical link.The completed modular structure provided the most flexible combinations for customer’s application and kept expanded capacity for future upgrade.
The FOM-480 is the best solution on cost-efficiency to extend traditional leased-line E1 signals and Ethernet data link after SDH topology, it offers a multi-services platform for customer’s demand of broadband access and relative low cost to SDH products.
The FOM-480 provided two slots of optical link for optional 1+1 auto protection switch (APS) and 4 slots of tributary with variant plug-in modules which included 4xE1 channels module, 4xFXO/FXS module and 4x Nx64K module.The maximum capacity will be up 4 plug-in modules which could be combinations with above modules.
And the 100M Ethernet data link is an extra channel to be multiplexed into an optical link, it doesn’t waste E1 channels to carry Ethernet link during optical transmission.According to network application, the FOM-480 can offer diversified combinations for audio/date/video services.
